SBD Figure 8 Lifting Straps

Designed to sit flat against the base of the hand and to tighten on the wrist as the weight loads on the straps, attaching you securely to the bar throughout the lift.

Featuring our patent-pending webbing construction, which weaves filament aramid fibre within spun fibres. The figure 8 lifting straps offer greater strength than a nylon wrap, whilst providing the comfort of a cotton wrap.

Figure 8 or standard strap

A Figure 8 goes around the wrist, under the bar and back over the wrist, so the bar cannot leave your hand. It is the most secure strap there is and the choice for maximal pulls, axle work and strongman events. The trade-off is that you cannot drop the bar mid-lift, so it suits experienced pullers. For everyday training where you want to get in and out quickly, the SBD Lifting Straps are the better tool.

Sizing

Measure around the wrist and check the size chart: small, medium and large. Between sizes, take the smaller; a Figure 8 that is loose on the wrist gives less security than a standard strap. Lifting straps are not permitted in powerlifting competition.
